One hears the word a lot, ‘code’. It implies computer programming, passion, technology and certain level of difficulty, the last part, when compared to the general population.
The word, ‘code’, I think, belongs to the world of ‘encoding information’, which might be specific to a certain field of engineering, like, telecommunication. Today, the word is thrown around like it is a ball. I would personally avoid the use of the word.
‘Program’, might be the right word, if one is referring to the computer program.
Then, I might analyse to see what it means exactly, in the context of computer programming. It might mean, ‘a visual take’ of a computer program. It means, that, the word would fit the context where a person is referring to the computer program, from certain distance, just, mostly looking at the visual of it, like the ‘code map’ shown at the right hand side of the editor, ‘VS Code’.
